Salone del Mobile 2019

At this year’s Milan trade fair, TON introduced four new products – each crafted by a designer who has been collaborating with TON for a long time. The highlight is the stylish Ginger, an armchair designed by the Spanish design duo Yonoh. The playful and highly practical YYY coffee tables are the result of yet another collaboration between Alex Gufler and TON. The Leaf collection has been expanded to include a dining chair, and the classic shape of chair 811 has been transformed into a barstool model numbered 813.

LOBMEYR unveiled ‘The Knight’ - Lobmeyr’s first smart chandelier. The new design is the fruit of the latest collaboration between Lobmeyr and designer Marco Dessí. “Nine years ago we collaborated and created the successful Basket Chandelier. With the new design we tackle the first `smart chandelier` of Lobmeyr” says Johannes Rath, Managing Partner of Lobmeyr’s lighting department. “`The Knight` is clever because it enables different moods in light downwards and upwards. It is smart because it does so with sophisticated LED-technology and is controlled via a mobile app. For the first time you can have a candle light for dinner on the table and broad daylight on the ceiling. “

At Salone del Mobile 2019, e15 also celebrates ten years of chair HOUDINI by Stefan Diez with a curated palette of anniversary colours by Farah Ebrahimi and the debut of stool MR COLLINS, the new sidekick to the iconic chair.

LOBMEYR: TRADITIONALLY CONTEMPORARY

Posted by Birgit Stachelberger on

In true Austrian tradition, we invite you to an evening of Viennese punch to celebrate the centuries-long tradition of the Lobmeyr Glass company. Join us for special evening hours Thursday, November 29 to receive 25% off your Lobmeyr purchase and receive items in time for Christmas.

Founded in 1823, the Lobmeyr glass company is still family run and located in the heart of Vienna. While the production of certain historical designs continues, Lobmeyr honors the tradition of whimsical design and openness through collaboration with contemporary designers.

Our exhibition will also show glassware from the latest collaboration ‘Normal Special’ by Ilse Crawford, along with designs from Ludwig Lobmeyr, Josef Hoffman, Ted Muehling and Stefan Sagmeister. As a special treat, we will display one of the famous ‘Met’ chandeliers, of which the originals are installed in the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
