Ames Ojitos Wall Decoration Tatacoas

Manufacturer Ames
Designer Mae Engelgeer

The Ojitos are mesmerizing wall decorations honoring Colombia’s beauty and ancient crafts with an abstract motif designed by Mae Engelgeer. The Dutch designer translated the varied landscapes of the large Huila region into intriguing circular patterns. Its color compositions are inspired by the diverse nature of Colombia, with its rocky mountains, sandy deserts, lush rainforests, and big rivers. Using fibers from the leaves of the fique palm, artisans make each piece by hand using traditional techniques. The result is a piece of art that will elevate every space – not only with its extraordinary textures and color combinations, but also the eyecatching size of up to 135 centimeters.
