At Stillfried Design, we work with independent European manufacturers who uphold exceptional standards of craftsmanship, materials, and production. Each piece is carefully inspected before shipment to ensure it meets our quality expectations. The following Warranty Policy outlines the coverage and limitations associated with products purchased through Stillfried Design.
WARRANTY COVERAGE
Most products offered by Stillfried Design include a manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand and product category. These warranties typically cover defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential or commercial use for a specified period. Warranty terms are determined by the manufacturer and may differ between furniture, lighting, and accessories.
Stillfried Design will assist in coordinating any valid warranty claim with the appropriate manufacturer, provided the product was purchased directly from us.
WHAT IS COVERED
Warranty coverage generally includes:
– Structural defects in furniture frames
– Hardware or mechanical failures
– Issues with workmanship or construction
– Electrical defects in lighting fixtures (when professionally installed)
Coverage applies only when products are used under normal, intended conditions, and have not been modified or improperly assembled.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The following issues are not covered under manufacturer warranties:
– Damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, or accidents
– Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches or patina
– Variations in natural materials such as wood grain, color shifts, or stone veining
– Changes caused by environmental factors (humidity, sunlight, temperature)
– Damage from commercial use unless explicitly stated in the manufacturer’s warranty
– Unauthorized repairs or modifications
– Clearance, final sale, or sample items
Handmade and natural materials may exhibit unique characteristics; these are considered part of the design and not defects.
WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS
To file a warranty claim, please contact info@stillfried.com with the following information:
– Order number
– Description of the issue
– Photographs or video detailing the defect
– Confirmation of how and where the product is used (residential or commercial)
Stillfried Design will evaluate the claim, consult with the manufacturer, and provide the next steps. Resolution may include repair, replacement parts, full product replacement, or alternative solutions depending on manufacturer policies.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
If a warranty claim is approved, the manufacturer will determine whether the item will be repaired or replaced. Availability of exact replacements may depend on current production. Stillfried Design will facilitate the process but final approval lies with the manufacturer.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Stillfried Design is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, delays, or costs associated with removal or reinstallation of products. Manufacturer warranties represent the sole and exclusive remedy for defective goods.
