Killa is made out of the fibres of the iraca palm which are reduced to small pieces in an elaborate process, boiled, bleached and coloured with seeds, leaves, nuts and roots. after a drying process lasting several days, the work on the body begins. tweezers, needles and tongs are used as aids. the pattern determines the respective sewing stitch.
