Manufacturer Ames
Designer Sebastian Herkner

The rugs of the ames par series are made of 100% fiber of the fique plant, which is very similar to the agave. However, the fiber is much more robust and also flame retardant. Every step of the manufacturing process is carried out in a complex, manual process: from the gaining and drying of the fiber, through brushing and spinning, to processing in weaving and knitting technology. Through these different techniques, each carpet gets its different structures and thus reflects the diverse geography of the Santander region.
