Sheyn – Yiddish for beautiful – is a Vienna based design studio that creates fully digital designs using state-of-the-art modeling and fabrication techniques such as 3D printing.

The designs of the Dorn family are characterised by a playful caterpillar shape with a harmless thorny surface. The tiny scale of its spikes transforms them into one surprising texture that is very pleasant to touch and to look at.

The vase is made out of PLA – ecological compound based on corn which is a 100% recyclable and eco-friendly. The object itself is not watertight but comes with a high-quality glass cylinder.
