In addition to the music of the "Maracas" rattles, folkloric handicrafts are the main feature of the Bolívar region in Northern Colombia. Inspired by the typical textiles and patterns of the region, ames presents the new Maraca pillows. The cushions are made of 100% hand-woven cotton and are available in three sizes and three colours. Following the traditional method of working, the cotton yarns are dyed exclusively with natural dyes and then finished by hand. To fix the bright colours, the artesanos use salt and almidon, a natural starch.
